It has been a year since the federally run America's Job Bank closed, to be replaced by one run by a non-profit funded by some of America's largest companies. The job bank, the JobCentral National Labor Exchange, is funded by the DirectEmployers Association, a non-profit association of large companies based in Indianapolis. JobCentral has agreements with 42 states, including Maryland, said Bill Warren, executive director of the DirectEmployers Association. Association software takes the job postings from the corporate sites and distributes them where needed, including JobCentral. read more
