How can shoppers make the transition from shopping in stores to online shopping? Is shopping online really more cost-effective than in-store shopping, even with the added shipping charges? By shopping online, you may also save money on sales taxes, as many retailers charge tax only on in-state purchases. Look for retailers that offer paid return shipping labels that accompany the gift or retailers that offer in-store returns at their brick-and-mortar counterparts. Many people were disappointed a few years ago when shipping companies didn't hold up to their end of the holiday shipping bargain, but those kinks have been largely worked out.
